Little Moon

My baby moon

By MacKenzie NicolePublished 5 years ago 1 min read

Little Moon,

Why did you have to go so soon?

Tell me, that I’ll be able to find my way back to you.

Promise me you won’t forget all of the love I have for you.

When they speak my name please make sure it isn't just in vain, better yet ask them to refrain. Tell them I exist, even if it's just in the memories you hold dear.

I know your eyes will create a flood and mar your floors when you can't recall what my voice sounds like anymore...

You will detest yourself for not being able to remember the way my eyes squint when my lips are curved into a smile.

Hate will overcome you when you are forced to come to terms with the fact that I am no longer here....you will blame yourself, you'll blame me, your mother, and the Gods, you’ll curse at the sky and SO many parts of you will want to lay down and die, but little moon there is no one on this planet who should ever have that much power over you...

No emotion should overpower you to the point you want out of this universe...

Although I must admit that I have been there...too distraught to crawl out of the void I had found myself in... I don't want that for you..i NEVER want that for you.

Baby moon, please know that I am ALWAYS with you, even if you don't feel me near, even when you feel alone I am still here, loving you just as much as I would if I were there.

You have to know how special you are

And how lucky the universe is, simply because you exist.

My little moon, I promise I have always loved you, that I couldn't possibly put anything above you, for you I would do anything and everything...

You deserve all of the love in the world and all of the love our universe holds...

I pray you never doubt my words...
