Little Chicken

A children's poem

By Hillery HamilPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

“There’s a chicken in my bed! There’s a chicken in my bed!”

Cried the girl who slept in her crib.

She couldn’t believe she was sharing her bed with a chicken in her crib.

How did that chicken get there she thought,

Had her parents slipped it in.

She closed her eyes and wished and wished for that chicken to go away.

As hard as she tried, it was clear to see,

That chicken was here to stay.

And what do you know?

She fell asleep with a chicken by her feet.

And when she awoke, all was well,

It was a stuffed animal she could see.
