What does it mean,

When your literature,

Doesn’t conform to standards?

Within every written work,

There are expectations,

On how it should be written.

Typically literature conforms,

Through specific line spacing,

Through organized word play,

Through standard font.

Rarely do you see,

Someone publishing a story,

While ignoring standards set in stone.

Is it called literature,

When you ramble aimlessly,

Hoping somehow the written work makes sense,

At the very end?

Or are these scribbles,

Random notes jotted on paper,

Only to be thrown away at the end?

In the end,

I am not sure,

If it’s necessary to conform,

To classic literary standards.
