Like Falling Leaves
a poem inspired by the Autumn season

A life withering away like falling leaves,
Once vibrant and green, now fading with ease.
The autumn breeze carries them to the ground,
Their beauty lost, no longer to be found.
The colors once bright, now dull and gray,
A life once lived, now slipping away.
The memories fade, like the leaves on the trees,
A life once full, now brought to its knees.
The sun sets earlier, the days grow short,
A life once lived, now a mere retort.
The chill in the air, a reminder of time,
A life once full, now past its prime.
The leaves fall gently, like tears from the sky,
A life once lived, now bidding goodbye.
The cycle of life, a constant refrain,
A life once full, now ending in pain.
But in the midst of the withering leaves,
A glimmer of hope, a chance to believe.
For just as the leaves will fall to the ground,
A new life will rise, a new hope to be found.
