Like Double Oh Seven

The fantasy is you're smooth as a certain British agent; however, the truth is a lot less noble.

Not like double-oh-seven. By Dean Traylor

Always shaken,

but not stirred.

I try playing cool,

like double-oh-seven

would do.

I wait at the bar,

looking for

my Bond girl.

But that cool goes

the moment

my femme fatale

takes a seat

near my well-worn stool.

I stay mute,

shaking,

trying to get

one smooth line

to part my lips.

Yet, I know

it'll roll out

like a ball missing its number

on the spinning roulette.

So I don't try

and sit there,

sipping my beer,

remaining silent

like an undercover agent.

So my

Bond girl

Can see me

at least

not stirred,

even if I'm shaken.
