Light Through the Fog
A Poem of Resilience, Hope, and the Will to Keep Going

In shadows deep, where silence stays,
And time moves slow through heavy haze,
I’ve wandered lost with weary eyes,
Beneath a storm-choked, sunless sky.
But even when the night won’t end,
A flicker waits around the bend—
A whisper warm, a steady beat,
A pulse that tells me not to retreat.
The weight is real, it presses hard,
It cuts like glass, it leaves me scarred.
Yet every scar I proudly wear
Reminds me I’m still standing there.
Some days, the climb feels far too steep,
The voice too loud, the hole too deep.
But hope’s a root that clings below,
And in the dark, it learns to grow.
I breathe, I move, I rise again—
A quiet war beneath my skin.
Not every battle ends in cheer,
But forward is the path from here.
So when the world feels cold and gray,
I search the cracks for signs of day.
A laugh, a breeze, a song, a smile—
The things that make this fight worthwhile.
I will not yield, I won’t give in,
This story’s mine, I choose to win.
Through every tear and broken part,
I carry fire within my heart.
And though the road is rough and long,
I’ll march ahead—I still belong.
Because the dark can’t drown the light,
And I was born to stand and fight.
