Light of the earth
Paragon of the world
Two paths without collision
but both were faltered
Briefly disturbed like a flutter in a heartbeat
But predisposed to keep beating.
Play in a rythme but tolerate no key
The melody sweet but also bitter
Each note colliding with one another
Like stars in a newborn galaxy.
Broken lines drawn in a rage
Unbridled joy paired with pain
Sweet longing and bittersweet desperation
Like the song that breaks when breathed.
Pulled like the dying
Pull the string in fate’s hand
Out of the lungs of the two
Who desires to proclaim it the most.
Pray Our Lady's hand reach out and give them clarity
But secretly wish that she stay away
Of the two paths so cursed to falter
But not so lucky as to collide

About the Creator
A Love Forboding
The chipped stone slope caused unbearable footing. I slid, skirting on my heels. I cast my shield, relinquishing my guard to stay upright. Left with my double-edge and a prayer to the maker, I skated toward my objective. The earthly stubble gave way to solid ground. I found myself restored, a trail of dust in my wake.
