Under me is a boat
Between me and the water
You sit in the boat to hear my opinions about life
But my words don’t stick
In one ear out the other,
Go home pack, pack your bags
Grab your things run out the door
Here he comes she wants no more
The fire in his eyes burn brighter than the sun
You put out the flame but still there lies a stark,
100,000 miles away
Your life starts new
She put on a smile to signal she’s okay
All is going well until your pushed to your limits
The look they give you builds your fire
You lose control and it sends you into the dark,
Finally, on the right path, your life is getting better
Until his fire returns and has more power than ever
STOP!
You try your best but your bests not enough,
The fires too big, too uncontrolled to handle,
You lose grip only for a second,
Then find yourself seeing what is left,
A boat, A man, A fire, A girl,
Till it all goes away,
She sees you good as gone,
Just enough fuel to make a fire of her own,
To do what she thought she could never do before,
BANG!
Now his fire is gone and with it all her pain,
But now she hears the sirens,
Louder and louder the roar,
And the only way for it to stop is if she wakes up.
