Light Glow

orange soul

By Timothy Joseph LutzPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

There was a day

Not oh so long ago

That I found my color

Walking the road

Gravel rolled and tumbled

Beneath my feet

The journey had begun

Discovering who I was

Listening to the music resonate

From within me

To find my voice

To sing my song

Within a few years or so

It started to glow

That color of orange

Color of soul

Color of pain gone past

Rain

Having fallen

And the promise of the new day

After the storm

The color of warmth

Of love that will last

Shine through

The grey goes away

The storm fades

My song can sing

Freely

I vibrate

I am orange

I can say with pride

I am who I am

And I take it in stride

Some people see me as dangerous

The color of warning

Others hate me

Revolt at the sight

Negative physical reaction

Swarming

They try to fight

I say let them

I am fire

I am the sunset

The rise of desire

Be warmed by my radiance

Or be burned by my flames

It bothers me not

In which way you perceive me

For I am who I will be

My flames may change

But my core shall remain

I am orange
