The clock hands turn, but time is never still,
It slips between the spaces in my mind.
I chase its echoes, bending to its will,
Yet every step is one I leave behind.
*
The past is carved in stone I cannot change,
The future waits in mist I cannot see.
And in between, I walk a path so strange,
A fleeting soul adrift in turbulent seas.
*
Yet if my voice can echo through the void,
And if my hands can shape the dust to gold,
Perhaps time was never mine to avoid,
But rather, to embrace what must unfold.
*
For life is but a whisper in the air,
Yet even whispers leave their presence there.

Lovely!!! <3
Yeaaahh!! It's so good! You write so beautifully, and I've really missed it. Such great lines, and such elegance to it all. You're a master poet, Marv. And I mean that wholeheartedly.
Stunning 🤩 A beautiful piece after my own heart.. I love your stream of consciousness 😊💚
