Life is What?

Life is a precious gift given to you.

In the heart and soul of every parent,

You are considered a miracle.

Your life is what you make of it.

You can try hard, or hardly try;

Tell the truth, or tell a lie.

Like what you see, or see what you like;

Doing it your way, or else taking a hike.

Being conceited, or being humble;

Speaking clear, or in a mumble.

What do you make of it?

Life can be good, or can be bad;

Being happy, or being sad.

Life is taken for granted by some;

And treasured by those waiting for their day to come.

Some want to be gone, some want to be here;

Some don’t care whether the times far or near.

Life can be heartless and cold;

Or loving and bold.

Life can be easy and fun;

Or hard; keeping you on the run.

Life can keep you on your toes;

Or make you not wear real clothes.

It’s important for self-confidence in you;

And to know what you’re going to do.

What do you make of it?
