We are given this life,
and we spend it playing games.
Many of us want to be captains —
exerting control.
But some of us don’t feel cut out,
for that leader role,
so we become part,
of someone else’s game.
If we’re given an important position,
in their game, we feel satisfied,
maybe even proud,
to stay by their side.
When someone helps us win,
we call them friends,
when someone challenges our games,
we label them adversaries.
And so, the game goes on.
There’s no wrong,
in playing the games.
But can we play it without cruelty,
and not belittling others?
Can we choose to play ethically —
with integrity, and grace?
Life is a game, kid! It all depends on how you play! ~ Mario
Life is a game, play it. ~ Mother Teresa

🩷 We just need to learn to be good sports about it
Life is a Game beautifully captures how we all play — some to lead, some to follow — but reminds us that the true victory lies in playing with kindness and integrity. Loved this!
