Life in real colors

By Jessie Foster

By jessie fosterPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

To think myself a light baby blue

underneath a clear sky,

or maybe a pink

for the blush Beneath your eyes.

I could be like the ocean,

in a mysterious way.

So deeply blue, that your swept

into a vast expanse of tones

deep within a misty gray.

If I could hold you forever,

would you be a peach,

and let me paint a picture

of the golden rays of the sun.

Maybe from those rays,

your hair lightens up

I could twist through your curls

until we both become rotten.

We would writher away

until we become a dusty lot.

To be mushed down to dirt,

in the earths big planter pot.

While we are below,

we feel the heat from life above.

Each foot print creates a hope

for growth beneath people’s toes.

As I look to my side,

and see a patch of green.

Where your roots are shown

between your brown seams.

As our struggles collide,

and we poke out to the sun.

I’ll wrap my vines around you

as your bud outshines mine.

The hues from your lips,

are as red as a rose.

Your petals displayed for all,

your beauty will only grow.

As our wrinkles become strong

from the toil we have endured.

I will look to the sky,

to see my baby be blue again tonight.

No matter your color today baby,

never worry.

If time was a color,

we would be wrapped and intertwined,

In a mirage of a rainbow

Where yours and mine color

become one of a kind
