Life in Black

What is life?

A game of chess or a game of dice,

too bad you can’t choose it just play it right.

It’s hard and foul like a fumble on the play.

Or the legs that you run with and it never goes your way.

It’s cold like the rain and it’s all watered down.

Or more like the sun heating up right now.

Life is a gamble,

play your cards right before you fall.

Juggling the things that make you stand tall

and then turn into a frown.

Life is important,

with no new friends.

Screaming big dreams and new beginnings.

Life is the things we do,

that’s naturally what you do.

Show your true colors and remember do you.

Become a star and set an example

stay solid, remain humble, and just be you.

Pick up your head, live life, and remember life is a gift.

Look to the sky and thank God,

for having your back
