Letters That Became Light
A Journey Through Memory, Longing, and The Soul's Echo

The letters I wrote in longing, to you,
In silent nights, in morning dew,
Turned into scenes of color wide,
A thousand hues the heart can’t hide.
When dawn would break, they bloomed as flowers,
Soft whispers in the waking hours.
At night, they'd drift to distant skies,
And shine as stars before my eyes.
A song would rise, and I would hear,
Your steps approaching, drawing near.
A bud would bloom—I’d gently say,
That’s you, just blushing far away.
A breeze would carry scent so sweet,
I’d feel your hair, its calm heartbeat.
The air would dance, your style, your grace,
That quiet smile upon your face.
A teasing glance, then walking far—
What youth can do, what wonders are!
Wherever you are, I am too,
My soul's own rhythm beats for you.
I'm but a seeker, you’re the way,
A thirsty soul, your rain, my stay.
My world’s your gaze, my heaven your side,
Where love and memory gently reside.
The letters I wrote—now dreams that light
The path from sorrow into night.
About the Creator
Ali Waqar
Through general writing and verse, I try to capture moments that move us, challenge us, or just make us pause. Whether it’s a whispered thought or a storm of emotion, I believe every feeling deserves a voice.
