Letters I Never Sent

Words Left Unspoken, Emotions Left Unread

By Black RosePublished about a year ago 1 min read

I wrote my thoughts on paper,
But they never reached your door,
Folded up like secret dreams,
Now lost forevermore.

I wrote of love, of missing you,
Of moments we once shared,
But these letters stayed with me,
Unopened, unprepared.

Each line held hopes I couldn’t say,
Locked away inside,
The paper aged, the words grew cold,
As time passed us by.

They sit here still, untouched, unread,
Faded with the years,
Like promises I never made,
And feelings turned to fears.

I wonder if you’d understand,
The things I never said,
But now it’s just too late to know,
The past is gone instead.

So here they lie, these letters lost,
In shadows where they hide,
The words that never found their way,
Still waiting deep inside.
