Letter to My Prince Charming

Dear Prince Charming,

You are sexier than me and more popular and you have much more money. You dance better, but I think I sing better. You're easier to get along with, but I'm a better writer. You probably have more practical knowledge, but my abstract knowledge is very useful in tight jams.

We would be very compatible in my opinion, not just because you're a male and I'm a female, but because we are similar in mind and way based on the stars interpretation.

You are My Prince Charming because not only are you the sexiest man I can think of who has a big wallet, but because I want to dance with you and because you inspire my trust which currently is almost an impossible achievement for most people.

I play out some scenarios in my mind with the two of us as a couple.

For instance, I see us holding hands somewhere public, and some buffoon tests you about why you would love someone as homely and basic and mediocre as me. Of course, My Prince Charming would simply look at the buffoon and say, "You have no idea how stupid you are."

Another example of us together is something like: You want to go away on a business trip to expand your career and increase your holdings, but I worry you will fall out of love with me and fall into love with someone else who is on the business trip with you. Though you try to explain that my insecurities are not based on reality, I remind you that you are a millionare and I am so poor that I'd be homeless without you, and that isn't a very "attractive" or "emotionally strong" feature of mine. Then you laugh, hand me a check for $50,000 to put into my savings account, kiss me passionately, and tell me that you'll see me in a few months after the business trip. I finally believe you.

Yes, Prince Charming, I'd be your anything.

I'd be your wish genie, your slave, your heart, your soul, your inspiration.

I won't make promises I can't keep. I won't lie or disrespect you. I won't break your faith or trust in me.

I'll be the greatest event of your life, if you are the Prince Charming that I believe you to be.
