LETTER TO EARTH’S MOON
I tell you things and secrets I know you will keep

LETTER TO EARTH’S MOON
I write to you from restless ground,
Where daylight steals the peaceful hours.
Where voices drown the softer thoughts,
And tender minds can lose their powers.
But when you climb the velvet sky,
My spirit settles into place.
Your silver glow unbinds the night,
And draws a calm across my face.
You never rush or speak too loud,
You teach the world with silent light.
You show that quiet, gentle things
Can guide us through the longest night.
I speak to you of hidden fears,
Of aging time and drifting years.
You never turn your face away,
You never flinch at human tears.
Below, the tides obey your pull,
They rise and fall upon the shore.
They show me I can change and bend,
Yet still remain the soul I was before.
I ask you how to hold my hope
When doubt returns and shadows grow.
You answer soft without a word,
In silver waves that ebb and flow.
So keep your watch above this world,
And shine when I forget my way.
For in your glow I find my truth,
And strength to face the coming day.
One promise rests in all you are,
A vow that follows where I roam.
That even lost or far from light,
I walk beneath your steady glow,
And never walk this earth alone.

I've been writing poetry since the age of fourteen. With pen in hand, I wander through realms unseen. The pen holds power; ink reveals hidden thoughts. A poet may speak truth or weave a tale. You decide. Let pen and ink capture your mind❤️

wow!!1 Brilliant poem, Marie, I wish you well. It has a lovely ebb and flow to it and conjures up lovely images. For example, "You answer soft without a word, In silver waves that ebb and flow." Hey I also love your new signature 🌝🌝
Beautiful thoughts and a perfect picture
