Let there be Light
A poem for positivity in Israel and Palestine
Open up your heart and start letting the light in.
When you start letting light in, the fight ends.
Look at our neighbors and tell them we need to be together.
Look around and see that it’s you and me together.
When we are in rhythm together as one band we can take one stand and unify this one land.
Solidarity means nothing and no one can defeat us no matter how much the world mistreats us, they will never beat us.
I’m your family, your brother and your friend. Stand with me and we’ll bring this division to an end.
From Israel to Palestine and everywhere else across the world, let’s be God’s unified pearls.

My sincere prayer is that this conflict ends--like yesterday! There has been too much bloodshed and loss for too long. I want healing and justice sooooo much for my people, and I truly appreciate the pure sentiment behind your poem.
Beautifully written. Oh, if only it was that easy. The world is such a complicated entity. Politics and war are so complex and there never is an easy solution. But definitely love and unification is a place to start.
