Let Them

Let You, Be

By Kelli Sheckler-AmsdenPublished about a year ago Updated about a year ago 1 min read

the perspective of time

as you look at your life

learning how to align

how you look at yourself

you can only be met

from where they’ve met themselves

learn to forgive and forget

put your fears on the shelf

so, let them be

just let it go

you cannot compete

with what they don’t know

each day is a first

we’ve not been here before

live - before the hearse

cause you can’t get any more

once your time is gone

it cannot be brought back

deal with it, right or wrong

there is more than one path

we do what we can

we do what we know

experience drives the train

the clock runs the show

you choose what comes next

and how you will react

life shouldn’t be so complex

it doesn’t come with a net

so, let them be less

let you be less too

because life isn’t a race

you need to learn to be you

"you cannot compete with what they don’t know" And why did we ever try? Well-wrought!
