“Everyone you meet
is fighting a battle you know nothing about.
Be kind.
Always”
This is such a good reminder
to be kind to everyone we meet,
whether we know them or not.
Sometimes
we are so consumed with our own troubles
that we just do not think of others.
All of us
are having a ‘battle’ of some kind
and
a few compassionate words
can make all the difference to our day.
Love, kindness and empathy
are qualities that we need in this world.
We want everyone
to feel supported and accepted.
When we show
understanding and compassion and kindness,
we are helping to encourage
a more sensitive and considerate society.
A pleasant smile
can make a person feel
so much happier.
Even just opening a door
for a mother carrying shopping
can make her feel that
‘the world isn’t quite so bad after all’.
And remember,
some disabilities cannot be seen,
especially if they are mental.
So let’s do our best
to be kind to everyone we meet
because they are (usually)
kind to us.
