Let Little Suns Lead You Back Home

a poem/song dedicated to the warriors fighting overseas. Slava Ukraini!

By CT IdlehousePublished 10 months ago 1 min read

An ocean apart...

Yet we share the same heart...

A heart that begs for peace.

We feel so ashamed...

Of promises our leaders have maimed...

He does not speak for me.

/

When all the tyrants have died...

May sunflowers bloom from their eyes.

May one day your land be your own.

When they are put in their graves...

May sunflowers take up the space.

Let little suns lead you back home.

/

You all are so brave...

But we are afraid...

That our leaders are depraved.

I hope for the day...

Justice breaks through the gray...

And traitors are dead and disgraced.

/

When all the tyrants have died...

May sunflowers bloom from their eyes.

May one day your land be your own.

When they are put in their graves...

May sunflowers take up the space.

Let little suns lead you back home.

/

May sunflowers bloom...

May the red meet their doom.

May your lands finally be your own.
