Let Kids Have a Beautiful Childhood

In the bosom of nature

By Seema PatelPublished 9 months ago 1 min read

Let their childhood

be about,

Blowing dandelions,

playing with pine cones,

making bouquets out of

California buckthorn,

and a spring tiara

of Indian hawthorn.

Doing art with leaves of persimmons

Picking acorns,

watching snow on the mountains,

Soaking in the sun

admiring the stars and the moon,

running barefoot on the lawn,

Jumping like a fawn

foraging lemons,

discovering chrysalis and cocoon,

and feeling the drizzling rain.

Let them

enjoy their fleeting childhood

in the embrace of nature—

in getting to know

the flora and fauna.

Let their formative years

be peaceful and curious,

so they are prepared

to face the blows of life

with nature’s wisdom.

That's what we should do...let kids just be kids. Life is too demanding, unfortunately.

Children are our future, and they should have a fun and yet responsible childhood in whatever ways that make sense for them. Parents just need to listen and then tell. Good job.
