Let it Burn

Becoming

Let it Burn

Born of a single spark,

It rages inside you.

Towering, twisting cyclones

Blazing with the heat

Of all that's come before.

Let it burn.

Change is inevitable

And time only heals

If we allow the cycle to complete

In the cleansing.

Let it burn.

Let the sparks fly where they may

Carrying change

Spreading hope

With each new flame.

The stars, themselves, end.

Some simply collapse and fade.

Others blaze brilliantly,

Announcing their metamorphosis

In waves across the heavens.

Let it burn.

Leave what was, behind

And become the new you,

Forged in the flames

Of your own undoing,

Annealed by fire,

Tempered by time.

Gorgeous and so powerful, Dana! Really enjoyed the repetition of "let it burn", and I really clung to the line, "Others blaze brilliantly, Announcing their metamorphosis," wow! 💙💙
