Less than nothing but it’s all we’ll ever need
A short poem about the passing of time.

Life is about the little things that seldom cross our minds.
We want to try bits of everything but
don’t always have the time.
We’re fixated on tomorrow’s inertia-
forgetting the beauty of today
Feeling like the Prince of Persia
until it all goes away.
Whilst drifting through this
never-ending maze,
of infinite nothingness,
mist and haze,
we all grow fond of thieving hands
stealing our only wealth,
trying to meet the world’s demands
by sacrificing our health.
Alas the fateful day comes,
when all that we have
becomes all that we had.
We swapped our time for denominations,
corrupted by greed
we may have less than nothing but it’s all we’ll ever need.
