Legacy

Life isn’t meant to be perfect, neither are people.

In fact striving to be perfect is a mistake. It leaves little room to be the unique person you are meant to be.

Instead ask yourself, “what is the impression I want to leave behind?”

That’s what actually matters, how you will be remembered because we all live and we all die. Those who remain after our departure are the ones to speak to the life we lived.

There are evil people in this world, those who cannot help it due to some mental health issues or chemical imbalance in the brain.

But the people who choose to bully, abuse and manipulate; people who purposely choose to inflict pain or make lives difficult are the ugliest people of all.

These narcissistic beings choose to make others miserable because they themselves are miserable.

Maybe someone wronged you, hurt you, abused or traumatized you. Is that really an excuse to do the same to others?

As someone who has had their fair share of bullying, abuse and trauma in life, I can honestly say that it’s no excuse.

Choosing to hurt others and using your past as a crutch simply continues the cycle of abuse. Why not choose to heal and move on instead.

Stop pursuing those that don’t want you in their life. When has giving more of something that people don’t want ever made them want it? I don’t much care for broccoli, do you think by shoving more at me I’m going to suddenly like it?

Instead of holding on to what does not serve you, or bringing others down, consider instead how much happier you might be focusing on healing instead.

Life is far too short to waste it on ugliness and evil.

Kindness and peace go a long way. However do not simply cling to the kindness of others. Take the help provided as a spark not the whole fire. Use the spark to ignite your own flame, grow the fire by doing the same for others.

Break the cycle. After all do you want to be remembered as evil with a pretty face? Or as beautiful inside and out?

Evil may be remembered but kindness endures.
