Legacy

Humans Lasting Memory

By Sarah LeggettPublished 4 years ago 1 min read

As a breath in grandiose scale,

Inhaling and breathing out.

Space tightens inward without fail,

Near simultaneous expanding pout.

Ear to the ground,

Cheek to the Earth.

Feeling the shift of sound,

Hearing the massive girth.

Drilling and digging for life’s blood,

Coursing emotion fills the air.

Pulsing amidst the rock and mud,

Racing past a heart so fair.

Fingers resting in grass so soft,

Caressing as hair to a lover so.

Love bursts in tears a loft,

Silent pain of a hundred years low.

No end in sight as long as we live,

Raping a planet a sight to see.

Eyes in power have nothing to give,

Looking to stars for more is seeming our lasting legacy.

About the Creator

Sarah Leggett

My passions happen to also be my demons for I will destroy myself in order to create the beauty I desire to see most on this Earth. If I am unable to create something breathtaking I would resolve to lock myself in a hidden tower.
