One Night

A creation poem

By Sarah LeggettPublished 4 years ago 1 min read

Colors of vivid hue were warm,

Sweet blue waters,

Fruit ripe and pink,

Brilliantly danced and took form.

Green as of emeralds played,

Swept around the fires rose red,

Brown of dirt life was born.

Deep purples of the swirling sphere,

Mahogany and Orange,

Splashing yellow of a sun,

Waiting last the diamond tear.

The light grey of mist,

And fog bright and white,

Ethereal smoke disappear.

Rainbow bridge through no time or space,

Blanketed by a mask of black,

Specks of coal and Ebony,

Reaches far into place.

Taking back stolen sight,

Faded colors pulse,

From bold to dim to luminous,

It all happened in just one night.

About the Creator

Sarah Leggett

My passions happen to also be my demons for I will destroy myself in order to create the beauty I desire to see most on this Earth. If I am unable to create something breathtaking I would resolve to lock myself in a hidden tower.
