I always stress that on the left hand path it is a goal to become a Master and a God but what does that mean?
It's not enough to say "I am a god"
It's not only about feeling empowered.
It's not even about a belief.
It's about driving deep with in yourself, criticizing every aspect, destroying your beliefs and building yourself from the ground up.
This is why this path isn't for everyone
It's not a fluffy love and light process where you simply dig into your shadow self and drag things into the "light".
No.
The shadow IS the God-self.
You stay in the darkness because that's where chaos lies.
Feel it.
Embody it.
Love it.
Know how it thinks.
And when you get to that point of becoming, you use it to your advantage.
Create order out of chaos.
That's when you're in the process of deification.

As a child, I was introduced to only one basic way of seeing the world which was through the lens of Christianity. When I parted ways with that religion and started my spiritual journey I was still encountering much of the same mentality and world view. The individuals of the spiritual community held a mishmash of beliefs, yet at the core there was a sense of religiosity that crept in silently. So I'm sharing my view on the difference between religion and spirituality so you're better informed on which path suits you. What you choose to believe is essential for your growth and what you're looking to achieve.
