Leaving, but Not Lost

A poem that captures the moment when we have to say goodbye to our friends.

They say BFF- for friends forever,

but friendship can pass like Washington weather.

They are the people we tell all of our fears,

they are the people that wipe away all of our tears.

When next year comes and the flowers bloom,

if our friends are gone, it brings us gloom.

But remembering the times we would laugh and smile,

it kindles the part of them in our heart for a while.

Friend- you will always be in my heart,

no matter the way we have to part.

Goodbye is not forever,

I could never forget a person like you, never.

We wish them luck on their trip,

and remind them we are always to grip.

It won't be long till we get to play once more,

I loved being goofy with you and exchanging a ROAR!

I love you more than words can say,

thank you for being a part of my way.
