Leave My Country Alone
We just want peace not war

Leave My Country Alone
Leave my country alone
we’ve buried enough to wars.
we’ve wept silent in the corners
we’ve swallowed it, all your poison
with broken hearts
our troops marched on.
You send your lies wrapped up in gold
you call it news, you call it shite.
we see through your two faced parade,
we see the hands behind the blade
We want no flags that come with chains
no promises that bring us pain
no masked patrols at dead of night
no whispers dressed up as a right
We ask for nothing but a day
to walk in light, to work, to pray
to raise our children without fear,
keep your darkness we want light clear.
You’ve mocked our dead,
you’ve fed on our grief
you’ve carved your name like a common thief.
but peace is not yours to give or take
so back away—for all our sakes.
