Leave It Behind

I believe that,

in order to move forward in life,

you must leave some things behind.

~

For, should you charry everything you have owned,

you cannot get very far.

The weight is too heavy to hold.

~

Leave something behind.

~

Be it your trauma,

your lack of closure

or a piece of your heart

~

that dangles off the edge

refusing to say, "No."

~

Let it go.

Leave it behind.

~
