towards the window i sleepily glided
trying my darndest best, to clear my eyes
of cobwebs of ghosts of sleepy night
having hopeful whimsical yearnings
of a bit of wakeful cheering up
i awoke today, you see
in a brown study and funk
a sort of absorption and abstraction
while feeling a little melancholy
and seriously out of sorts
SO LAVENDER though, was the early morn's hue
the sun playfully peeking betwixt your glorious
flowery, beautiful bountiful bouquets of splendor
my world stood still, my heart quite a'flutter
purple morning beauty, my breath you took away
Forsooth! what is that you say?
you imagine yourself, far more pink than purple
or more purple than lavender
who cares? beauty, did you not hear
is in the eye of the beholder
MY mood perked up, my day you saved
Today I plan to make my complete existence
As LAVENDER as I possibly can!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your writing skills are truly impressive. I loved it.
I once read a story about a girl named Lavender, and I always imagined her as beautiful as the flowers you described here. LOVED this poem!! I could almost smell lavender just reading it. Lifted my spirits too!
Nice, lavender is a beautiful and wonderful plant.

This is so soft and cute :o
I love the idea of making my day lavender, with all the vagaries of hue, but the steadiness of mood.
I wonβt be surprised if they make pink lavender someday . ππ₯°
lovely piece
What a lovely poem! I can feel the dreamy, whimsical mood that you've created, and the use of descriptive language really adds to the sensory experience of the lavender morning. Your playful use of words and rhyming scheme make the poem feel light and cheerful, despite the initial melancholy mood. It's a great reminder to appreciate the beauty around us, even in the midst of difficult emotions. Well done!
This one um yeah.. a bit emotional - I often wake up with a dysphoric mood, so I found this really inspiring and just beautiful and hopeful. I have subscribed. π Iβve also just noticed your subscription - I really appreciate that a lot! Best wishes. -Grz

Gorgeous!! You are so talented π Absolutely love! π
This was breathtakingly beautiful! Loved your choice of words and brilliant use of imageries!
I absolutely love lavender...the color, the scent, the essential oil, everything! I think lavender is my favorite color, although so many colors seem to be perfection, there is something about the mixture of red and blue (with a bit of white to change it from dark purple). The picture you used is the perfect representation of your description of your lavender morning. Exquisite poem!
There has always been something soothing about the color Lavender! I even named one of my doll children Lavender! I call her lava for short! π Your poem was beautifully written! I loved the hopeful vibe of it and your flavorful word choices! Wonderful job! I'm happy that your day improved! :)
That last line stunning! Beautiful inspirational poem. So glad I read this morning πͺ»
