Silence Avow

By Heather ClimerPublished 6 years ago β€’ 1 min read

We exist in moments

Nothing more or less

Soften

Rapid fire release

Of

Everything

Pent up in these lungs

In this chest

(Color::Sound::Chaos)

Soften.

Exhale.

It all came tumbling down

Round and Round

These illusions doing their best

To maintain shape

But this river

Won't be held back forever

Soften.

Acceptance of what is-

The fight within

Serenity beckons

(Quietly)

A shadow at night

I'll dissipate

You'll never even notice

That I left

These sweet little lies behind

That I bartered enough of my time

To feed excess

Atrophied

A dying Beast

A bastardization of the truth

Of our inner animals

Our unfettered wild

Where's your heart?

Is it still beating in your chest?

Are you alive?

Or medicating numb like the rest?

If you wake and wonder

Where I wandered off to

Embrace your wild nature

Uncover your Truth

Behind the fears of your heart

And the lies of your mind

Find the way in the Silence

Remember your roots

Trust in You.

Come when you're real....

Come when you're true.
