Sunsets and Dreams
Days come and nights go. Everything may seem like a mess but in the end you look out at an amazing sunset. A smile crosses your face as you realized a dream you have. One day I’ll leave this town and make something big out of myself. Then night after night those dreams slowly dim.

Relax for a Moment
That's the moment I knew. The feeling grew in my heart. My father let me borrow his car. I drove to her house, and for an hour we weren't apart. Just laying on the couch cuddled up. Thoughts tapping the tip of my tongue, just hush. What would change in the months to come? A breakdown in communication or had it just begun? Unwilling to take scissors to my memory, and my reflection kept hunting me. This candle was never meant to sustain her flame. What shame to go along like before, nothing is the same. A friend should be allowed to hold you this way.
