Life in Scrabble
We wrote sonnets in English a while back inspired by William Shakespeare. I called mine, "Life in Scrabble." Honestly, I'm not exactly sure why. There's something about Scrabble and 'anecdoche' that really speaks to me–the metaphor, I mean. I dare you to look up the word, anecdoche. Night
I look to the stormy nights of tomorrow, and all I feel is sorrow. Slowly creeping through the night sky, it feels like nothing but a lie. Will these dark clouds bring the light? Or am I in for a long lonely night. I feel the chill of the air, all it brings me is despair. Will I feel nothing but the cold? Or will the darkness take my soul. As the strong rain crashes down, my feet sink into the soft ground. It feels as though I will be buried alive. But I know I have to fight like hell to survive.
