Prized Possession
You say you need to feel a tender touch. To see a queen's royal flush. I'm talking chess not checkers, leave those kiddie games at Toys R Us. Check my resumé but baby, read between the lines. Because that one thing that you're searching for, on paper, you just won't find. My beauty and power intrigue like Nefertiti. My loss can tell you stories you cannot see on TV And, more than any wall, in my heart, you will find cracks. But, like a ball hitting a wall, I always bounce back.

Are You There?
I walk through snow filled eyes. So cold, so piercing. I keep my head low, not needing the pain. The tears form under low, cryptic lids. I wince wanting the words to disappear, it’s not working. They replay over and over, like a broken vinyl no one bothers to fix. With every syllable my heart breaks more, slowly but noticeable to all who see clearly. They stare but never stop, never ask why, nor what's wrong as my legs dangle over the edge. The tears fall, raining on the river below. I close my eyes....

I Will Walk
One step at a time. I can walk 5,000 miles to your destination. Without planes, trains or car. I will walk to you. I will walk till my shoes split in two. I will walk 500 more miles to get to you. When my feet crack and bleed. I will walk 500 more. For my journey does not end when I reach the finishing line. It ends when You stop walking for you are worth every step taken. Because that my friend is life journey. One step at a time keep walking forward...

Loving You
It was the little things like not noticing my new hair color or the way I did my nails. The game would be a little bit more important and you never cared to listen. Then it turned into the big things like never caring what time you came home and who you smelled like. It's like you never did care but will say any and everything just to keep me here. But that's the fool I am for loving you
