Last words

for Drew

By Martyna DearingPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

You left

Your heart gave up

I'll always ask myself why it did

Did it give up on me

Did it give up on us

Or maybe it just happened and there's no reason for it.

***

Your love

Your laugh

Your stupid jokes

Your kindness

Your passion

Your little dances

Your weird sexual comments will never make me roll my eyes again.

The world without you does not make sense

It barely exists…

***

You asked me if I could imagine my life without you

and I said nothing.

I really thought I could.

Little did I know there's nothing to imagine.

There's no life after you.
