Last Night Together

Poetry

By Stranna PearsaPublished 4 years ago 1 min read

Touching you

Kissing like never before

It’s hard to believe

Tomorrow you’ll be walking out this door

I heard you say I love you

Only it wasn’t to me

You told her it was over

And that you were free

Don’t pretend you don’t know

And this you never said

I know when I wake

You’ll be laying in her bed

This night seems so long,

You secretly want it to go fast

So that in the morning

You can touch her at last

I guess this is goodbye

It’s over between you and me

Tonight will be the last

It wasn’t meant to be

So hold me one last time

As I look in your eyes of blue

These arms I’ve held so long

Are no longer true

About the Creator

Stranna Pearsa

A long time ago I discovered the beauty and magic of the written word. The escape it provided when I was trapped was invaluable to me. It is my goal to provide that gift as it had been bestowed upon me so many times by so many others.
