Last night my teeth fell out

Or perhaps it was this morning,

So I looked in the window to see my reflection

But all I saw was that it was storming.

And in the storm a ballerina

Twisted and drenched and dancing,

More beautiful than I had ever seen,

Weightless through the pouring.

The rain made her tutu flimsy,

The wind chill gave her goosebumps

But never did she stop twirling,

A prisoner to her dance.

Until lightning struck down

And met her pointer finger

And in a flash of white light

The clouds parted outside

And there, a magician where there was once a ballerina.

He thanked me for watching his show,

Gave a bow and a tip of his hat,

I went to give him money,

But instead found my teeth in his cap.
