The days grow shorter, nights grow long,
A final bird sings summer's song.
The air turns crisp, a gentle breeze,
Whispers through the golden leaves.
Fields of green now tinged with gold,
Nature's colors bright and bold.
Children's laughter fades away,
As twilight claims the sunny day.
The sun sinks low, a fiery sphere,
Painting skies so crystal clear.
Shadows lengthen, coolness creeps,
As summer dreams drift into sleep.
A bittersweet farewell we send,
To warm embraces at summer's end.
Yet, in the heart, its warmth remains,
Till sun and heat return again.
