Ladder n Tree
Find our rest...
A ladder leans against a tree so tall
Its branches stretch high, far beyond recall
Upward we climb, step by careful step
To reach the top, where the view is best
The rungs creak and groan, our hearts race with fear
As we cling to the ladder, the tree ever near
But the reward is worth it, up there in the sky
A world of green and blue, stretched out wide
In the cool shade of the tree, we find our rest
For we've scaled its trunk, and passed its test
And as we climb down, we know in our hearts
This ladder and tree, we'll never be apart.
