Upon a blank canvas, a story begins

Inky black letters etched into the wind

Characters come alive, a tale to be told

No modifiers to embellish, no adjectives to hold

Verbs dance across each line

Crafting images that are simply divine

Nouns carry the weight of the plot

While the adverbs and adjectives just get caught

The story unfolds with rhythm and rhyme

Captivating the reader, taking them on a climb

No need for flowery language to be found

Just the words on the page, leaving footprints on the ground

And when the story comes to a close

The reader is left with a sense of repose

No adjectives or adverbs to distract

Just words that have the power to impact.
