la transfiguration juste en dessous de la chair
tattoo
By Thomas BryantPublished about 14 hours ago • 1 min read
coconut cream paper
woven inlay
behind a shadow
only visible through glass
boiling bubbles
solar rays dissolve pupil ink
from a window
burning organic compounds en masse
fizzled folio
fading fast into
a summer shade drawn
filling the room in dusk
crinkled chunks
of charred pigment set in
like a stick n’ poke tattoo
covering the canvas with rough tree trunk
blistering boils bobble
just underneath the flesh injected
before the pain can even settle down
dyeing the flesh in night sky thrash.
