Yeah, sure she may be masculine presenting, but that dont mean a thing

Deep down inside she just wants to be treated like a queen

But dont mistake her femininity for weakness, she wont tolerate any disrespect

So if you gon come, you best come correct

She’s worked too hard and too long to just let anyone come along and try to steal her peace

And, if you ask anyone about her they’ll tell you oh she’s hilarious

She can always get you smile and laugh no matter what mood you’re in

She’s humble, a heart of gold

And oh is she a light, and the more time you spend with her the more you’ll realize that she’s the kind of light you need in your life

But what you wont hear about are the tears that flowed like rivers behind closed doors

The countless prayers of desperation, calls for help

The yearning and wishing to have people in her life who would love and support her unconditionally

Naw, you wont hear about that

Nor will you see the heartache and the internal battles she’s fought

‘Cause she carries herself with a smile on her face and optimism on her back

Guided by ancestral intuition her circle is small, but her circle takes no prisoners

Trust and believe that they’ll ride or die for her and whats hers

She’s black, gay, and a woman, three things society despises

But even with the world working against her, she still stands tall, striving for greatness and settling for nothing less

Empowering those around her to do the same, the best hype man to have in your corner especially when things are a total mess

And no matter how grim things may be, she has a gift to always see a silver lining

Even when the world tries to dim her down, best believe this girl is gon keep on shining

Black girl magic exudes with each step she takes, crippling her enemies in her wake

She's unstoppable and undeniably a powerful, beautiful, black queen

So get to know her name, it’s Kourtnei
