    This floored me. The contrast between something as simple as sunlight and the chaos beneath the skin is so vivid and powerful. I’m currently going through all the haiku entries, and this one seriously stood out. Thank you for sharing such raw, honest work.

    Wow, what a striking piece. It's amazing how much of a story there is in such a small space. Grim and frantic are such great words to use. Loved this!

  • I take it this is at war with yourself, as opposed to preparing for some external battle where I imagine the look would be quite different (more focused, less frantic, perhaps still grim).
