Kingdoms fought battles
wars wage on
with exhaustion,
the downfall of many
lives lost
tortured in the heat of battle
spiked on pikes
that follow a trail of dripping heads.
Armor and vanity
gave into their insanity,
fatigue minds
felt discombobulated by the
sweated tears and the bloodied
corpses that drench
the battlefield.
Surrendering gave no hope,
instantly priest and healers
attempt to save wounded souls,
that perish; remain
of parts and entrails
from battle, while a king plays folly
with a lack of a loyal army,
furthering more men to
their deaths than any
peace or any sense of morality.
