Leaping to their paws, both cat and country mouse

First raced around the kitchen floor, and then the rest of the house

A sliver of moonlight, a meow and the swoosh of a paw, the hole in the barn door vanished

" Oh no!"shrieked the country mouse with a gasp

"Its better to make a careful plan and check it twice

before choosing to act too quickly and lose your life"
