Kindness
To the delivery driver today
The mail carrier of yesterday
To the nurse who held my dads hand
To the teacher that stayed to help a challenged man
The pastor who said I can
The Doctor who said yes and never no or I don’t know
The police man who drove us to safety
The fireman who risked it all on that September Fall
To the soldiers most of all who did all for what is behind them
To always remind
A thank you today for all that serve in
This hellish bump and grind
So find a kind way
Gods way.

OTHELLO
This began as a exercise with actors back in 1993 when I directed and played Othello. My third production, where I found the talent struggling with the issues of Shakespeares master piece of common people. So I asked them to write a poem of what this play me t to them. I then had them read each other’s work, and placed their poems in the playbill when the production went up. I use this exercise to this day. After seventeen total productions I have been involved with as a director and a performer. Othello holds it sway over me still. I find new depths, more incites and how far human nature has not changed. Hence this work is both Timor’s and timely. I wrote this one recently. Well as they say the rest is history.

So You Decided To Become a Nurse Practitioner:
So you decided to become an "Advanced Practice" nurse. Congratulations!... is what I would say if this was a good idea. Grad school? In this economy? What were you thinking? Likely it was something along the lines of either 1) “I've seen these other chucklefucks do it— Why can't I?” or even 2) “I've got a nice career, I should shake it up. I miss feeling like I have no clue what I'm doing.”
