From the very beginning
in the journey of parenting,
I wanted harmony
between,
the children and nature,
and stuck to that philosophy.
Kids were taken to the open,
and introduced,
to flora and fauna,
their roles and relations,
and our place there.
I taught them to sense,
the diverse stimuli,
and spectacles,
nature has to offer,
the smell of acacia,
chirps of finches,
the tangerine sunsets.
It sure is the right path,
for they are growing,
healthy, and happy,
curious, and confident,
in body and mind,
staying close to,
appreciating, and respecting,
the natural world.
“Children still need a childhood with dirt, mud, puddles, trees, sticks and tadpoles” – Brook Hampton.

This was so beautiful. Loved your poem and photo!
Country living is the best, and good thing some suburban areas of green parks, and I do feel sorry for the inner-city child who really mainly just roam the streets. Good job.
It's easier in the country than it is in the city to introduce to nature <3
I totally absolutely agree 💯
This is so heartwarming and true. Connecting children with nature is one of the greatest gifts we can give them. Loved every line — thank you for sharing this beautiful reminder.
